Donate to the Sarah Whitman Hooker Homestead
The Sarah Whitman Hooker Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that was set up in the mid-1970s to manage the Sarah Whitman Hooker Homestead, one of West Hartford's premier historical sites that is open to the public. From time to time we ask the community to donate to our foundation for events, staffing, and maintenance and improvements to the grounds and building. Our needs now include the following:
• Fence• Floor Work in the Basement
• Framing• Sign
• UV Shields• Windows
New Fence Details
The new fence will improve the appearance of the homestead and define the boundaries of the property to minimize sidewalk trash. It will also enhance the value to Elmwood residents and businesses. This solicitation is being made by persons who live in West Hartford and who work directly with the Homestead and its Foundation strictly on a volunteer basis.
